Customer Information, October 2016

3M is pleased to share more information about the transition to our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in the UK and Ireland due in November 2016.

We value our relationship with business partners and we want to ensure you are aware of the key dates related to the transition.

Key dates and deadlines to note are:

For customers

  • Last order taking date: 14:00,27 October
  • Last online order dates: Enterprise Order Centre (EOC) - 19:00, 26 October EDI/XML - 14:00, 27 October
  • Go-Live date: 2 November
  • First shipment date: 2 November
For suppliers
  • Last shipment date into 3M location: 26 October
  • Last 3M purchase order raised before transition to the ERP system: 27 October
  • Commencement of 3M purchase orders with the new format: 2 November

Please note that 3M will not make shipments or create invoices during this period. Customers will not be able to place orders during this time.

Whilst we are not anticipating any interruption to supply, we understand there may be questions about any potential impacts.

Minimising the impact on our business partners is our highest priority, therefore we will build contingency stock. If you are a customer and you have a requirement for a large order during this time period, then please discuss this with your 3M customer service representative who will work with you to ensure continuity of supply
