A BMW 6 Series given four bold looks using 3M wrap film caused a talking point at the Goodwood Festival of Speed held at the end of June.

For each day of the event, the car was transformed with a bespoke design inspired by tattoos, a Scotch tartan, the BMW Art Car project introduced by French racecar driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain and reptile scales.

The impressive ten by ten metre 3M stand also featured a Mini and a motorbike wrapped in 3M™ VentureShield™ paint protection film that guards against stone chips, scratches and paint damage.

Said marketing executive, Commercial Graphics, Paul Kitchen: "The BMW created a great deal of interest on the stand and we also gave visitors the chance to try out one of our new 3M Car Wrapping Kits that can be used to create special effects on areas such as a bumper or wing mirror."

The DIY kits have been launched exclusively on 3M Direct in seven stylish finishes.

Added Paul: "The festival is the largest and most prestigious car show in Europe and it was a fantastic opportunity to present the Big 3M to 200,000 paying visitors and around 20,000 VIP guests and to network with all the major car manufacturers."

Added Matthew Bailey, Market Development manager for 3M Autocare: "It was an incredible show and great to highlight the breadth of 3M involvement in the automotive sector."
