Skin and Wound Care

3M Cavilon Skin Care Products

3M™ Cavilon™ Skin Care Products provide a complementary approach to total skin health. The product line seeks to prevent skin breakdown before it happens, protect at-risk skin and encourage the maintenance of healthy, intact skin.

Peri-wound protection
3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film may be used to protect skin from maceration around leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and other chronic conditions. It may also be used to treat and protect skin from damage associated with incontinence dermatitis and adhesion trauma. The 1ml or 3ml foam applicators enable precise application to the peri-wound area of non-infected wounds, and the film's sterile, non-cytotoxic formula makes it ideal for peri-wound care1.

Protection from skin-stripping
3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film protects skin from damage caused by the removal and re-application of tapes and adhesive dressings (skin stripping). Apply Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film using a 1ml or 3ml foam applicator to the peri-wound area prior to dressing/tape application. When the film has dried (after approximately 30 seconds), apply the dressing as normal. When the dressing/tape is removed, it will lift the Cavilon no sting barrier film with it, thereby reducing skin stripping and protecting the delicate skin underneath2.

Problem dry skin
3M™ Cavilon™ Durable Barrier Cream provides long-lasting moisture to dry, chapped or flaky skin. Cavilon durable barrier cream resists wash-off, so reducing the need for frequent re-application3. It will not clog or reduce absorbency of incontinence pads4 or decrease tape/dressing adhesion1.
