Quality certificates are issued based on the 3M product and its relevant manufacturing plant i.e. 3MTM GT6008 Acrylic Foam Tape being manufactured at 3M Hilden, Germany which is accredited to ISO/TS16949:2002 & ISO14001.

3M Automotive Business UK & Bedford European Distribution Centre are also certified to ISO/TS16949:2002,
as part of a remote location on the Hilden certificate.

International Material Data System (IMDS)

IMDS is the automotive industry material data system. It is a joint development of Audi, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Opel, Porsche, VW and the Swedish firm Volvo. Further manufacturers have joined the community and talks are being held with others regarding their participation in IMDS.

In IMDS, all materials used for car manufacture are loaded, archived and maintained. Only in this way is it possible to meet the obligations placed on car manufacturers, and thus on their suppliers, by national and international standards, laws and regulations.

3M as a Company are "registered" on IMDS under company id:  3377.

Additional "customer specific requirements".

• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) – quality documentation,
• Certificate of Conformance (C of C),
• Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS),
• Customer specific delivery requirements….eg: labelling and toting. All of these will be reviewed and if possible processes will be put in place to comply.  

We have the capability to trade electronically via Web, Edi or Direct Edi and also have a selection of other eCommerce Tools:  XML Lite, Excel Lite, XML B2B1 and E-Scan for Fax Orders.
