The Petrifilm plate reader (PPR) is purposely designed for use with Petrifilm count plates. Key benefits of using an automated reader as opposed to manual counting are increased plate through-put, consistency of count and reliability of interpretation. The PPR reduces occurences of misinterpretation due to human error.
The PPR automatically records and stores the data and is compatable with Bar coding and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). The PPR is currently compatible with the following Petrifilm products :
