3M™ BacLite™ Rapid MRSA Test

The rapid results allow hospitals to use hospital isolation resources more effectively while helping reduce cross-contamination, ultimately reducing the time and costs associated with MRSA. 3M BacLite Rapid MRSA is an easy-to-run, rapid culture based test, requiring only 45 minutes total hands-on time for 43 specimen swabs direct from patients. Using ultra-sensitive adenylate kinase technology, the performance is clinically comparable with traditional culture based methods or nucleic acid based tests. It is easy to use with minimal training and is a cost-effective option for rapid MRSA testing compared to molecular methods.
