3M welcomes the launch of the 'Clean Air? Take Care!' campaign on Thursday 18th March. The campaign has been organised by the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and other health and safety industry stakeholders.
'Clean Air? Take Care!' uses thought-provoking and informative tools to engage with and educate the estimated 5.5 million British people* who are currently exposed to respiratory hazards as well as their employers, ensuring that workers are supplied with suitable respiratory protective equipment (RPE), and have been trained to use it correctly.
Alan McArthur from the technical service group at 3M explained: "We are passionate about encouraging all our distributors and customers to select the correct RPE and to follow best-practice methods for use and maintenance. The 'Clean Air? Take Care!' campaign is therefore an ideal opportunity for us to communicate with RPE users and their employers to ensure they have access to all the safety information and equipment they require.
"We have worked closely with the BSIF since the campaign's inception to ensure it is successful in its aims to inform and educate."
Following the official launch of the campaign 3M will continue to support the initiative by issuing educational materials to its own distributors and customers, including a direct mail campaign and a communications drive by the 3M sales team.
