Subsea Buoyancy
Subsea buoyancy modules, buoys, moorings or ROVs incorporating 3M technology enjoy the maximum buoyancy using the minimum space.
When formulated with resin, such as epoxy, polyurethane or wax, the incompressible 3M™ Glass Bubbles help to increase resistance to deep water pressures. They reduce weight and increase the uplift of buoyancy modules. Similarly, their low thermal conductivity and low density provide the insulation and buoyancy needed by ROVs to function at the ocean floor.
