Why is care and maintenance so important?
3M Powered & Supplied Air (P&SA) Respirators require regular checks and maintenance to ensure optimum performance and protection for the wearer.
In addition to potentially reducing protection levels, poor maintenance can also reduce the effective lifetime of a system, resulting in the additional cost of replacement.
Guidance on the appropriate checks is provided in the instruction booklets with each new system/turbo/headtop.
The Care and Maintenance Pack sheets and posters make this information accessible on a day-to-day basis and are a strong visual reminder.
