3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Validation System
The 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System. E-A-Rfit™ uses a proven technique known as Field Microphone in Real Ear or F-MIRE to measure how well the hearing protector is working for each employee. The noise reduction provided by the hearing protector is measured directly and objectively, without the need for the employee to listen or respond to the test signals.
Now, with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System, it takes just seconds to measure the noise reduction at seven different frequencies for BOTH ears at the same time. Once the measurement is completed, the software calculates and displays an overall performance rating for each employee, known as the Personal Attenuation Rating or PAR.
Fast, quantitative, and objective
Assists in hearing protector training
Helps with hearing protector selection
Provides documentation of your hearing conservation efforts
How it works:
Have the employee insert their hearing protection.
Connect to microphones and begin speaker test sound.
Use PAR to customise hearing protector selection.
In less than 5 seconds, the system generates a personal attenuation rating (PAR) that indicates a worker's noise reduction levels for a given fitting.
Advantage: Reflects an individual's fitting methods and indicates if additional training is necessary.
The microphone measures the noise reduction of each earplug or earmuff as worn by the worker across the wide range of industrial noise frequencies.
Advantage: Objectively tests 7 frequencies (125 Hz - 8 kHz) in under 5 seconds per ear, so you don't rely on subjective test responses.
Patented system and proprietary algorithms quickly analyse real-ear data to provide Personal Attenuation Rating (PAR) and fit variability.
Advantage: PARs can assist in determining if the level of hearing protection your workers are getting is appropriate to their work environment.
Documented Results: Easy-to-understand test results are documented for each test subject, both in print and electronic formats, for future reference.
