3M manufacture a range of Flame Resistant materials conforming to EN469: 1995 and are resistant to temperatures of up to 260°C.

3M™ Graphic Transfers are made by screen-printing an adhesive in reverse print onto the back side of a sheet of retro reflective lenses. The printed transfer is then heat laminated directly to fabric. Non-reflective colours can also be combined with the transfer for added design capabilities.

High gloss materials are composed of microprisms bonded to a flexible, glossy, UV-stabilized polymeric film. They are available either sealed to a vinyl backing or unsealed for custom converting. They may be sewn or radio/high frequency (RF or HF) welded to compatible fabrics. High gloss films may also be screen printed, embossed or used as piping.

Industrial wash fabrics are composed of retro reflective lenses bonded with a special polymer layer to a durable cloth backing. They can withstand the harsh wash and dry conditions used by many industrial laundries.

3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material - 8940 Silver Flame Resistant Fabric is intended to enhance the visibility of the wearer during darkness and in low light conditions. It can be applied to fire fighting apparel and flame resistant occupational work wear, where enhanced visibility of the wearer, in combination with heat resistance and wear durability is required.

3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material - 9720 Silver Industrial Wash Transfer Film is intended for application on high-visibility warning clothing such as occupational workwear, to enhance the visibility of the wearer during darkness and low light conditions. It can withstand the harsh wash and dry conditions used by many industrial laundries.

Inks are composed of a water-based ink base combined with retro reflective lenses. They are used for direct screen-printing onto fabric for decorative, reflective images.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) materials are composed of retro reflective lenses bonded to a PSA. They are easy to apply to rigid substrates - simply peel and stick. PSA films may be hand-cut, die-cut or kiss-cut, and may be screen-printed. Permanent adhesion to washable garments, however, is not recommended.

Fabrics are composed of retro reflective lenses bonded to a variety of fabric backings. They sew easily onto other fabrics and can be embroidered or screen-printed for patches and emblems. Fabrics may be hand-cut, die-cut, slit or guillotined.

All 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Materials SOLAS Grade products conform to International Maritime Organisation Regulation, ISO Res. A. 658(16) and to the European Marine equipment Directive. They perform well whether wet or dry and enhance the visibility of life support equipment such as life vests, jackets, rafts and other fabrics.
