At 360 grams, it's our lightest Shield everWelders have asked for two things in personal protection: lighter weight and improved comfort. Our challenges in designing an all new shield were to significantly reduce its weight, whilst maintaining the performance and protection that welders worldwide have come to expect from every Speedglas product. The Speedglas SL Welding shield has received several prestigious awards for its user centric design: 2008 Gold Award IDEA, iF Product Design Award 2008 and RedDot Design Award 2007 to name a few.
