The speed of a vehicle is measured by a built-in radar and shown on a large multicolour 3 stage warning display which is visible up to 100 metres away. A green display informs the driver that they are driving within the speed limit, an amber display can be used when the driver is close to or has reached the maximum speed limit and a red display can be used to draw attention to the fact that they are exceeding the speed limit. In addition, flashing figures can enhance the warning effect.
