Dew Resistant Sheeting
The effects of dew droplets can be hugely detrimental to the reflective performance of road signs, with droplets potentially causing 'black-outs' on important parts of the sign. 3M™ Dew Resistant Sheeting 1180 has been developed to avoid this problem. Its clear, high surface energy film promotes the coalescence of individual dew droplets so that dew cannot form on the sign face and cause refraction of light leading to a loss of retroreflection on the sign face.
Summary
Suitable as an overlay for 3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG³ and 3M™ High Intensity Prismatic (HIP) Reflective Sheeting, the 3M™ Dew Resistant Sheeting 1180 is guaranteed to provide effective dew resistance for seven years. The dew resistant properties also help protect the sign face against dirt and moisture, making it easy to clean.
