Protective Films

Our 3M™ Protective Overlay Film (POF) Series 1150 and 1160 series protective overlay films can both be used to protect sign faces against damage and deterioration due to natural and man-made causes. The highest performance is offered by POF Series 1160, which has a specially treated surface that is resistant to adhesives as well as paints and marker pens. However, the POF aren't just useful for protecting a sign face from damage. They can also be used in combination with additional sheeting to mask out messages on new signs that can easily be revealed by removing the top surface when the time is right.

Both POF Series 1150 and 1160 films are suitable for use as an overlay for 3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG³, 3M™ High Intensity Prismatic (HIP) Reflective Sheetings. Both are easy to clean, following the recommended methods, and will play a significant role in protecting the long term performance of signing and help protect your investment.

Formats : Both 3M™ Protective Overlay Film (POF) Series 1150 and Series 1160 are durable, solvent resistant transparent sheetings, pre-coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive for easy application.

Colours : Transparent

Cleaning : POF Series 1160 may be cleaned with dilute, mild detergent and water, or 3M Natural cleaner. POF Series 1150 should be cleaned using 3M Graffiti Remover GR2 cleaning liquid and 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Type 350 cleaning pad.

Warranty : When applied and maintained following 3M recommendations, both materials will have the same effective performance life as the base sheeting on which it is applied.
