Chapter 8 makes specific reference to the use of 'Class RA2' and 'microprismatic' reflective markings' on the rear of vehicles being used on high speed roads. Diamond Grade DG³ Reflective Sheeting Series 4092 is a super-high efficiency, full cube retro-reflective sheeting designed for the production of durable vehicle conspicuity markings as required by Chapter 8. It is designed to have the highest retro-reflective characteristics at medium and short road distances, which represent the most common viewing geometries encountered by the driving public. 4092 sheeting also provides brightness at high entrance angles.

Diamond Grade 4092 sheeting is suitable for the rear or vehicles used for highway maintenance activities, according to the specifications laid down in Chapter 8 part 2, O5.2.3 and paragraphs O5.5.2 to O5.5.5.

3M Scotchcal Fluorescent Film Saturn Yellow 3485

Scotchcal Fluorescent Film Saturn Yellow 3485 is tough cadmium-free vinyl fluorescent film which is highly conspicuous under all daylight conditions and provides the high attention value desired under conditions of poor visibility, particularly at dawn or dusk. This film meets the requirements for the fluorescent non-reflective portion of the chevron.
