3M presents new value-priced film for vehicle wraps, point-of-purchase displays and outdoor signs
27 September 2011 “Our new film has been produced specifically for use in less extreme graphics applications where cost is more of a deciding factor,” said Kim Brewer, Marketing Manager, 3M’s Commercial Graphics division. Scotchcal Graphic Film IJ170Cv3-10 is a flexible white film featuring a pressure-sensitive adhesive with air release channels that assist quick and precise positioning of the film with no bubbles. Visually stunning graphics can be achieved with no ‘show through’ as the grey, pigmented adhesive offers high quality concealing power. Furthermore, the film provides suitable adhesion to moderate compound curves and corrugations, flat and riveted surfaces and simple curves without edge lifting, shrinking or cracking. As the film has no curing time, vehicle off-road holding periods are kept to a minimum, and a fast turnaround of indoor and outdoor graphics in sign workshops can be achieved. The film offers resistance to water, mild alkalis, mild acids and salt and is removed quickly from vehicle clear coats with heat, leaving no residue. Scotchcal Graphic Film IJ170Cv3-10 is compatible with 3M Scotchcal Overlaminate 8580 for vehicle wraps. Both are available from 3M primary stockists William Smith and Spandex.
