3M launches approved contractor scheme for liquid roofing products
29 September2011 Survey Roofing’s headquarters in Whyteleafe in Surrey and also its northern base in Rotherham have both been accredited by 3M for its new approved contractor scheme following rigorous testing against a range of criteria. These include track record of applications, operative training, reliability and overall capability. 3M has established the approved roofing contractor scheme to make sure specifiers and customers get the best out of 3M products by ensuring they are applied by recognised experts who are trained and experienced in all aspects of product application. Established in 1974, Survey Roofing has been working with 3M liquid membrane products for nearly five years. High-profile projects the company has completed using the 3M range include a refurbishment of the roof at a major shopping centre in the Midlands. The company offers a range of services covering flat, pitched and specialised raised roofing. John Golding of 3M commented: “The performance of liquid roofing membrane products is dependent on a range of factors from surface preparation and ambient conditions to consistent application. “Choosing a 3M Approved Roofing Contractor guarantees not only a quality product but the best possible application job meaning assets will enjoy long-term protection against the elements, even in the most demanding environments.” Tony Chapman of Survey Roofing added: “We’re delighted to be appointed by 3M as its first Approved Roofing Contractor. We have used their products on a number of high-profile projects and have every confidence in their ability to offer the performance and longevity our customers demand.”
