3M expands safety range for bodyshops
29 November 2010
3M, the diversified technology company, has further enhanced its range of eyewear and hearing protection products for the bodyshop market.
The new additions follow 3M’s acquisition of Aearo, meaning the company can now for the first time offer the Peltor hearing protection brand to bodyshops.
The 3M 2890 Premium Goggles range boasts a modern, slim design and either a polycarbonate lens for high impact protection, or an acetate lens to guard against particles, liquid droplets, gases and dust.
Meanwhile, the Peltor Optime range of earmuffs incorporates a high-quality, steel headband construction which is complemented by foam and liquid filled cushions for exceptional comfort. Purchasers can select an SNR (Single Number Rating) of 25 or 31dB(A).
For those wanting music while they work, the 3M Peltor FM Radio Ear Muff features an audio input for an MP3 player with the same levels of durability and comfort as the rest of the Optime range. This product offers an SNR of 32db(A).
Carla O’Brien of 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division commented: “The new 3M goggles demonstrate our commitment to continuous innovation and improvement, while Peltor products offer enhanced user comfort alongside the performance expected from 3M.
“We are confident the new range continues to meet the key demands of functionality, safety and comfort expected by bodyshops.”
