The 3M Eco-SPP3 range is designed as fibre optic patch panels mainly for backbone cable with pigtail splicing in splice cassettes, but can also be used for direct termination with, for example, the 3M Hot Melt- or NPC connectors. Four entry ports allow the fixing of backbone cable with up to 48 fibres through cable glands (16or 20 mm). The panels offer also fixing hooks for manifolds of pre-terminated backbone cable. A central thread allows the stacking of up to 4 DIN splice cassettes including the top lid. The cassettes are secured against rotation with pre-terminated pigtail/cassette modules being available separately as accessories. The panels have a sliding mechanism with a defined hard stop, which prevents the drawer from being pulled out completely and therefore offers the installer a comfortable handling for both, new installation and re-arrangements.
